Job Details : SUMMARY :

This position will be part of the Corporate Treasury Team focused on leading the administration of Tyson’s lease & equipment financing activities, as well as supporting other treasury-related and / or strategic projects as needed. This position will need to demonstrate strong executional excellence and business partnership with both internal customers as well as external financial institutions.

This role will be primarily responsible for :

Managing relationships with existing lessors and identifying potential new lease finance partners to support Tyson’s growth initiatives. Developing methodologies for assessing lessor performance.

Ensuring proper lease-versus-buy policies and procedures are in place and being communicated and monitored for compliance enterprise-wide;

Providing oversight of lease bid processes;

Completing quarterly and year-end financial reporting for Treasury.

Bring a digital mindset to Treasury and champion leveraging technology in Lease financing processes with a view to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Identifying and implementing process improvements that reduce financial and operational risks.

Mentoring and coaching junior team members. Providing daily work direction, managing workload and evaluating resource requirements.

All the above activities are performed with an ownership mindset in a dynamic team environment demonstrating close collaboration within the Treasury Team and with cross-functional partners.

REQUIREMENTS :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required. MBA, CTP, or treasury finance-related advanced degree preferred.

Experience : 3-5 years in a Treasury and / or finance related position preferred. Experience in leasing & lease accounting, financing transactions, and contract negotiations a plus.

Technology Skills : Experience in evaluating and implementing technology solutions for Lease financing functional area.

Computer Skills : Standard computer skills required. Advanced Excel skills with financial functions used in financial analysis including lease-vs-buy, IRR, and MIRR are required knowledge for this position.

Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong negotiation and relationship management skills required. Role also requires good interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and leaders.

Special Skills : Advanced understanding of lease financing structures, working knowledge of lease accounting rules and equipment valuations for the leased equipment that is most often leased. .

Supervisory : This position will have one direct report.

Travel : 1 to 3 domestic trips per year.
