Responsibilities :
Arrives to the scene of an emergency, determines the situation, and develops a plan of action.Uses appropriate medical equipment and comprehends the severity of the injury.Monitors patient condition and performs data collection. Communicates findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).Assists with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Associate complies with the following organizational requirements :
Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.Maintains license / certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position / department.Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.Complies with established organization and department policies.Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.Commitment to Beacon's six-point Operating System, referred to as The Beacon Way :

Required Credential(s) :
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Drivers License credentialed from the Michigan Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Education :
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.PI6553f46cd60f-30511-38875552
