A national developer is seeking a Real Estate Counsel to join the growing team. This role will partner with dealmakers and lead teams in a wide variety of real estate development transactions.
Responsibilities :
- Review and negotiate real estate purchase agreements, lease agreements, joint venture agreements, and other legal documents related to development projects.
- Design deal structure in cooperation with team dealmaker and finance
- Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective properties, including title examinations, environmental assessments, and zoning analysis.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and compliance issues related to real estate transactions and development activities.
- Oversight of outside counsel in construction financing, refinancing, and other matters
- Assist with land use planning and zoning matters, including zoning applications, variances, and entitlements.
- Provide legal support for construction and financing activities, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts, loan agreements, and other financing documents.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctorate and admission to any state bar
- Minimum of four years’ experience as a real estate transaction attorney; large law firm experience preferred
- Purchase / sale financing and leasing experience preferred
