The Spirit of the Position :
The Rover Patrol will work with the Fleet Manager and support airport operations by providing roadside assistance and light facility support. Rover Patrol ensures the safety and convenience of travelers by handling jumpstarts, tire changes, lockouts, fuel delivery, and basic fixes as needed around the airport.
Pay rate : $16.66 / hour
Schedule : Weekend Only
Saturday–Sunday | 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM
Saturday–Sunday | 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM
Principal Job Duties :
Rover Patrol will be stationed at Lot C maintenance shop.
Required to complete service logs and activity records.
Provide roadside support : jumpstarts, tire changes, fuel delivery, lockouts, and light repairs.
Conduct safety checks and light maintenance as directed by the Manager.
Work closely with management and other airport teams.
Assist with traffic flow or safety concerns when needed.
Skills & Requirements :
Must have a valid driver’s license (chauffeur’s license preferred).
Prior roadside assistance or maintenance experience required.
Proof of employment in a maintenance / automotive-related field within the past twelve months.
Basic knowledge of commercial vehicles and troubleshooting (battery, tires, fuel, light electrical issues).
Ability to operate roadside equipment (jump boxes, jacks, safety gear, small tools).
Must stay in shift for a minimum of two years.
Punctual clock-in / out required.
Must wear clean company-issued uniform at all times.
Abide by negotiated work rules and remain in designated patrol areas unless directed otherwise.
Physical Demands :
Willingness to work in outdoor elements — heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time (95–100% of shift).
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently during a shift.
