Position Overview

This is a contingent worker temporary position. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed through an agency, not directly through Orchid. However, you may be eligible for conversion to an employee position after only a few months in this role.

What You Will Do

  • The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor.
  • Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
  • Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
  • Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
  • Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
  • Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Completes all required training.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Experience Qualifications

  • Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred)
  • 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)
  • Licenses and Certifications

  • Machining Trade School (Preferred)
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • Problem Solving - Working Experience

  • Visual Quality Assurance - Working Experience
  • GD&T - Working Experience
  • Blueprint Reading - Working Experience

    For positions located in California, pay for this job type falls within the following range and varies based on scope and complexity of job responsibilities : $17.26 - $22.00 per hour. As this position is assigned to the 2nd shift, a 10% premium is added to the base hourly pay rate for all hours worked during that shift.
