Seeking a talented Group Vice President of Finance to oversee accounting and medical billing teams at two DME production sites in Ohio with approximately 140 combined employees.

The Group VP Finance will partner directly with business leaders to lead key planning and reporting cycles, drive continuous process improvements, analyze financial and operational data, and generate actionable reports and dashboards in support of key business decisions.

This person will also champion best practices for direct medical billing processes while elevating accounting teams with hands-on mentoring and development at both sites and serving as a key member of the group’s leadership team.

This position will split time between two facilities located in the greater Cleveland and Toledo metro areas, respectively.

The Group VP Finance can be based at either location or anywhere in between, depending on travel tolerance, with the position eventually having more remote flexibility after the first 6-12 months.

Responsibilities include :

  • Act as a key partner to the Group leadership team by analyzing and synthesizing enterprise-level financial and operational performance to inform business decisions.
  • Engage with site teams to develop and implement world-class financial processes, including reporting and FP&A activities.
  • Lead direct Medical Billing processes to enable 98% of revenue collection.
  • Translate performance data into key financial and operational priorities that center on driving complexity reduction (80 / 20) and profitable growth across the Group.

Build influence among the business leaders to drive implementation and appropriate resource allocation.

  • Own and drive key financial planning and reporting cycles, including annual budget and monthly reporting processes.
  • Plan, manage, and execute the various functions of the accounting department to work toward the overall goal of providing accurate and timely financial information in accordance with US GAAP and company policy.
  • Oversee the month-end close / consolidation process, including the recording of journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and calculating various balance sheet reserves.
  • Manage overall working capital requirements, including processes relating to Medical Billing, AR, AP, and cash forecasting.
  • Maintain the ERP financial reporting system to meet the needs of management and other reporting requirements.
  • Identify business and / or operational issues that affect the company's accounts and effectiveness. Identify system and process improvement opportunities and develop / implement solutions.
  • Prepare monthly analyses on changes in accounts and communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Lead in developing an environment that creates best practices processes and systems and challenges current practices to locate efficiencies.
  • Mentor and lead team members through best-in-class performance.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance degree required; MBA and / or certification(s) a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in accounting / finance leadership, including medical billing, in a multi-location manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success driving continuous improvement of Medical Billing claims management as well as manufacturing sector P&L analysis required.
  • Demonstrated command of all General and Cost Accounting principles.
  • Background in complexity reduction (80 / 20) efforts strongly preferred.
  • Strong data analytics skills, advanced Excel utilization, ERP system setup / improvement and use, and familiarity with data analysis platforms (QAD and / or Planful (Host Analytics) a plus).
  • Agile learner with a highly analytical mindset, strong technical finance skills and process orientation, and solid business acumen.
  • Logical, data-driven problem solver who can successfully navigate ambiguity.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and create strong influence beyond the Finance function.
  • Confident and self-aware with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong orientation towards results and a resilient work ethic with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches.
  • Hands-on leader with a concerted focus toward teaching and developing others.
