Overview
Our Client, an Internet Content and Information company, is looking for an Opto-Mechanical Engineer for their Redmond, WA location.
Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical Engineering workstreams for electromechanical sensor integration onto wearable hardware, ensuring all mechanical aspects of development, performance and reliability are met to ensure program success.
- Work across a full technology and product development cycle to deliver robust mechanical designs from concept to production.
- Partner with cross-functional researchers and engineers to develop wearable architectures for AR / VR interaction.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality prototypes which meet project specifications.
- Rapid Prototype Mechanical Design : Design and develop rapid prototypes of mechanical components for AR products, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project specifications.
- AR Module and System Level Prototypes : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate AR modules and system level prototypes, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Design Wearables : Design and develop wearable devices that meet project requirements, including mechanical design, prototyping, and testing.
- System Integration : Integrate mechanical components with other systems, such as electrical and software components, to ensure smooth operation and optimal performance.
- Testing : Conduct testing and validation of mechanical designs and prototypes to ensure they meet project specifications and requirements.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar3+ years of experience in 3D CAD modeling (NX, Creo, SolidWorks)5+ years of advanced design or R&D experience with electromechanical sensorsDemonstrated experience applying first principles to complex technical problemsDemonstrated experience with manufacturing techniques (machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc.)Demonstrated experience with PCB / PCBA, FPC / FPCA design and integrationExperience with NX CADStrong experience in mechanical design, including 3D CAD modeling and prototypingKnowledge of various manufacturing methodologies, such as machining, 3D printing, injection molding, and othersNX CAD software and thermal management principles and practices, which can be beneficial in designing and developing AR productsYears of Experience : 6-7 years of experienceBenefits
