Summary :
An Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts and product assemblies. They verify the correct quantities of component parts and perform quality checks for sub-assemblies and final assembly performance of products.
Responsibilities include conducting oneself professionally by maintaining punctuality and productivity of assigned shift / work assignments, following all company procedures.
Essential Functions :
- Follow and interpret technical documents (i.e. part drawings, work instructions) for all assembly operations, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices
- Conform to all safe work practices and quality standards, maintaining clean & organized work areas and awareness of workplace layout and surroundings
- Working from work samples, work instructions, bill of materials and / or verbal instructions assemble products, properly use tooling, fixtures, and chemicals and other assembly aids
- Properly package products and support movement of material and accurate parts inventory
- Use of ERP system for job tracking
- Manual / Physical labor lifting heavy items, with standing, walking and climbing of stairs the norm
Education and Experience :
- Required :
- H.S. Diploma / GED wit mechanical aptitude or experience as an assembler in a manufacturing
- Basic computer skills
- Good verbal / written communication and organizational skills
- Preferred :
- Lean Manufacturing
- Vocational / Technical H.S. Diploma
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
Levels of Proficiency (tracked and managed with Production Manager)
- Levels build up and are a prerequisite for progression to the next
- Performance is tracked using a department skills matrix and managed in coordination / approval with Production Manager business needs determine quantity of employees needed at each level

- Electrical wiring & soldering

- Routine use of reporting systems

- Production equipment operation, such as programmable cutters
- Repair & troubleshooting of in-house production and customer returns
