About The Position

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an outpatient-only locum-tenens assignment. This role focuses on providing high-quality gastrointestinal procedures with the support of a dedicated clinical team in a hospital-affiliated outpatient setting.

Locum-Tenens Gastroenterologist – Altru Health System

Location : Grand Forks, ND

Start Date : September 15, 2025

Key Responsibilities

Perform an average of 14–16 procedures per day .

Primary procedures include : colonoscopy and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) .

Additional procedures may include :

Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy

Foreign body removal

Bleeder control (cautery or laser)

Variceal injections

Esophageal dilation / manometry

Small bowel biopsy

Lower GI endoscopy

Flexible sigmoidoscopy

Colonoscopy with biopsy and / or polyp excision

Work in collaboration with dedicated CRNA, RN, and tech staff in each room.

Provide physician-led care without midlevel support in the outpatient setting.

Schedule & Setting

Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM (½ hour lunch and charting time included)

No call required.

Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
• Ability to perform the full range of outlined GI procedures.
• Active ND license or IMLC eligibility.
