Job Title: Production Coordinator – Bi-Lingual (Mandarin Chinese Required)
Department: Production

Summary


We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly organized Production Coordinator to join our dynamic Production Department. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production process, both within the department and across inter-departmental activities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive in solving problems, and be able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination: Serve as the main contact between the production department and other departments to align production plans with needs such as logistics, procurement, and TQ.
  • Problem-Solving: Address production issues, such as abnormal issues on the floor, equipment failures or supply shortages, ensuring quick resolutions to minimize delays.
  • Production Planning: Assist in creating and implementing production schedules to ensure timely completion and efficient resource allocation.
  • Meeting Organizing: Plan meetings and take detailed meeting minutes
  • Tool and Equipment Procurement: Oversee the procurement of tools and equipment, ensuring availability and working with vendors on quote and delivery.
  • Tool Room Management Support: Assist in managing tool and equipment maintenance, inventory, and usage.
  • Financial Reimbursement Assistance: Help the finance team with production-related expense reimbursement and reporting.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular reports on production activities, analyze data, and provide insights to senior management.
  • Training and Development: Help organize and facilitate training sessions for new and current employees.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously look for ways to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall productivity. You will work with other team members to implement process improvements and streamline workflows across the department.
  • Extensive Software Skills (SAP): Utilize SAP systems for inventory management and material (Kanban) picking.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Competencies

  • Fluency in English and Chinese: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English are essential for clear and effective communication with both local and international teams.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues early and coordinate solutions in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to work under pressure and remain focused on results.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work well within a team environment, coordinating with various departments and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all levels.
  • Experience and Knowledge in Production Environments: A background in production or manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with production processes, inventory management, and production planning tools will be a strong advantage.
  • Proactive and Results Oriented: A self-motivated individual with a drive for achieving results and making a positive impact on the department’s productivity.
  • Previous Experience: Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or a similar coordination role, is highly desired but not mandatory.

Preferred Education and/or Experience
  1. Bachelor’s degree in related field
  2. 3+ years of experience as a Production Coordinator
  3. Advanced aptitude with MS Office
  4. Experience with SAP is a plus
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, production floor and outside the office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

This is primarily a desk-based role; however, frequent movement on the production floor is required. This will require the ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, and lift as necessary to complete tasks and interact with the production environment.

Salary Range: $58,656 - $62,000/annually
