Finance Intern - Fort Wayne, IN (Summer 2026)

What You Will Do

Prepare month end journal entries

Assist in daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting

Assist in creating work instructions for the Finance Team

Assist in bi-weekly payroll processes

Improve inventory control documentation including cycle count adherence, root cause identification and action plans

Continuous improvement of special projects in a real-world manufacturing setting.

How You Will Do It

Utilizing Accounting Software (i.e. SAP, OneStream, Excel)

Partnering with supply chain to ensure cycle counting is completed including follow-up for adjustments outside of tolerance and improve receipt accuracy and timeliness.

Implementing weekly monitoring of adherence to cycle count policies.

Participating in month-end close activities and analysis / reporting of results.

Working with the Plant Finance Team identifying process gaps or inefficiency and implementing improvement.

What We Look For

Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance.

U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Duration : Summer 2026. Up to 40 hours per week. Part-time during the school year may be available.

Working Arrangements : Onsite at the Plant Location.

The Clarios - Fort Wayne, Indiana Distribution Center charges, packages, and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks. We opened in 1999 and now employ 130 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through Fort Wayne - Allen County local charities.
