Position Summary :

The Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates for construction projects, including preparing detailed bid proposals and supporting the estimating team in the bidding process. The Estimator works closely with senior estimators and project managers to assess project requirements and ensure accurate and competitive pricing for both small and large-scale projects.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties :

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Review project plans and specifications to understand scope, objectives, and project requirements for accurate cost assessment.
• Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to identify and assess any potential risks or challenges in a project’s execution.
• Gather and analyze pricing information from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to prepare accurate cost breakdowns.
• Maintain knowledge of current market rates for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure estimates reflect industry standards.
• Assist with the preparation of bid proposals, including documentation, scope summaries, and cost estimates.
• Support the senior estimating team by tracking and updating estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in bid reviews to ensure all factors are accounted for and that the bid is competitive.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of estimating templates and databases to improve accuracy and efficiency in future estimates.
• Provide support during post-bid activities, including clarifications and adjustments to proposals.
