Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Senior Estimator to contribute to the success of diverse projects, ranging from concept development to contract negotiation and ground-breaking stages. This opportunity offers the chance to work on impactful projects, including additions, renovations, historical preservation, and adaptive reuse, in a dynamic team environment based in San Antonio, Texas.
Responsibilities :
- Engage in marketing, business development, and sales efforts with clients, design teams, and contractors.
- Prepare detailed and meticulous work products for client and design team review.
- Organize and manage various aspects of each project, including system reviews and vendor coordination.
- Conduct risk management reviews of project requirements, contracts, and scopes of work.
- Estimate costs for diverse project types, including additions, renovations, historical preservation, and interior finish-outs.
- Analyze construction systems and evaluate constructibility reviews.
- Ensure sensitivity to occupied environments and their impact on construction costs.
- Provide cost and schedule forecasting, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Collaborate effectively within a team setting to achieve project success.
Must-Have Skills :
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lead Estimator.Strong knowledge of construction systems, scheduling, and sequence of work.Proven ability to estimate various project types, including commercial construction, renovations, and historical preservation.Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Nice-to-Have Skills :
Experience working with occupied environments and managing related costs.Knowledge of cost forecasting and schedule management tools.Familiarity with adaptive reuse and interior finish-out projects.Background in risk management and contract negotiation.Understanding of historical preservation construction methods.
