ERP Inventory Accuracy Specialist
What this role is about : You’ll be the steward of inventory accuracy—recording, validating, and improving stock data in Epicor to elevate service for both internal teams and external customers. Your work directly reduces excess stock, limits shipping errors, and keeps operations running smoothly.
A day in your life
You start by reviewing overnight Epicor transactions, then head to the floor for targeted cycle counts. You compare physical counts to system records, note discrepancies, and connect with the Transaction Control team and managers to resolve variances. Midday, you analyze inventory trends, explain the “why” behind issues, and recommend fixes. By afternoon, you log corrective transactions, track KPI results, and contribute ideas to streamline the process. Throughout, you uphold 5S and safety—OSHA compliance included—and complete any assigned admin tasks.
What you’ll do
- Maintain precise inventory records and reconcile differences between physical counts and Epicor data.
- Execute cycle counts; support inventory reduction and the disposition of obsolete items.
- Use Epicor (ERP) and RF tools to document all inventory activity; demonstrate ERP proficiency.
- Analyze trends and provide detailed explanations for variances; propose and report on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Transaction Control team and management to boost accuracy and reduce errors.
- Track results of implemented recommendations against KPIs; seek continuous improvement.
- Apply 5S to sustain an orderly, high-quality work area.
- Champion safety and productivity; follow Ohio Gratings safety practices and OSHA training.
- Complete administrative assignments and other related duties as needed.
What you bring
High School Diploma (required).3+ years of related inventory / control experience (preferred).Prior ERP / RF knowledge (preferred); Epicor experience a plus.Forklift certification (preferred).Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting without sacrificing quality.Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities; exceptional attention to detail.Strong time management; proven track record of meeting deadlines.Clear communication and effective conflict resolution skills.Comfort working under general supervision; able to work independently and check with a supervisor when uncertain.Work environment and physical demands
