Cobble Hill Health Center is hiring immediately for Licensed CNA's to work with our facility located Downtown Brooklyn. You must be licensed in order to qualify for employment.

Rates starting at $20.70 per hour with a 10% shift differential for evening and night shifts. Next fully paid orientation on 9 / 25 / 2023!

Shifts available - Day (7am to 3pm) and Night (11pm to 7am)

it is required to work every other weekend and rotate the holidays.

Our CNAs receive a competitive pay rate with 10% shift differential for evening and overnight shifts! This is a full time position with 8 hours shifts plus rotating weekends.

The ideal CNA candidate will :

Be a Licensed Certified Nurse Aide

Possess a high school diploma, this is preferred

Have a strong comprehension of the English language which includes reading, writing, and speaking fluently

Have experience working as a geriatric CNA, which is highly desirable

Have prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility (preferred, but not required)

Experience with SigmaCare (preferred, but not required)

About The Position :

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse, the CNA is an important member of the nursing team in assisting and supervising residents in all activities of daily living.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, feeding, transferring, grooming, mouth care, nail care, etc.

Identifying any changes in the resident's condition and reporting to the nurse

Acknowledging and responding to the resident's calls

Building relationships with and collaborating with resident, families, and members of the healthcare team when planning, implementing, and evaluating care

Verbalizing understanding and demonstrating ability to provide "Comfort Care" including anticipating residents’ needs, gaining knowledge about the individual’s important life events, cultural background, and daily routines, providing comfort when needed, and using a person-centered approach when planning the resident’s care

Individualizing care considering residents who have impairments including but not limited to visual, auditory or speech impairments

Providing a safe environment and demonstrating "Safe Practice" including performing rounds and observing and supervising residents, demonstrating safe and proper use of transfer and other equipment, and reporting resident incidents / occurrences to appropriate personnel.

Ensuring that the resident's unit is clean and neat, including beds, personal equipment, clothing, etc.

Performing vital signs, height, weight measurements as well as other clinical competencies including hand washing, transfers, V / S monitoring, personal care, turning and positioning, ambulation, skin care, colostomy care, etc.
