This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Days / Evenings with weekends (Friday - Sunday) and holidays; on-call and callback required per unit needs.

Job Description

As a CT Technologist, you will play a key role in providing diagnostic imaging by confirming patient identity and exam verification, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. You will prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and position patients for imaging while maintaining a clean and safe scanning facility.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging effectively.
  • Prepare patients for scans and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the tests.
  • Position patients safely, including handling patients with limited mobility.
  • Document all necessary components within EPIC, ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
  • Two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association only).
  • Experience with Siemens scanners (6 months required).
  • Epic experience (highly desired, at least 1 year).
