We are looking for a quality / test engineer for one of our leading engineering clients in Lafayette, IN with a background ideally in manufacturing. APPLY NOW!

Title : Quality / Test Engineer 3

Location : Lafayette, IN- 100% onsite

Hours : 6 : 30am-2 : 30 pm (M-F regular 40 hour work week)

Type : Contract

Pay : range $33-35.75 / hour on w2

Length : 12 months- possibility to extend

Screenings : no tech, full panel drug and background once hired

• Years of experience : 5-7 Years min
• Degree requirement : Bachelor's degree
• Ability to work independently, meet timelines, and identify solutions to manufacturing process issues
• Strong computer literacy in Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word,
• Ability to clearly and easily communicate with shop floor technicians, ask relevant questions of their work, and document potential deficiencies in the process
• Print reading
• Control Plan experience
• Strong reading / writing / speaking skills in English
• Ability to introduce themselves to shop floor technicians and conduct effective and lengthy audits without being timid or shy

Summary :

The main function of a manufacturing engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. A typical manufacturing engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.

This position will work within a quality internal audit team and consist of approximately 4 members and 1 manager. This position will work closely with other support groups such as manufacturing, operations and quality.
