Inventory Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire an Inventory Accountant for a contract opportunity in Emeryville, California.
In this role, you will run reports, request information from independent retail operators, you will primarily focus on ensuring the accuracy of company inventory.
You will perform reconciliation of store inventories across the client’s locations. The Inventory Accounting team works closely with internal auditors, warehouse teams, and independent retail operators to ensure that inventories are accurate
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconciling retail store inventories across multiple retail stores.
- Perform month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports related to retail inventories.
- Perform account analysis on general ledger detail and prepare journal entries based on this analysis.
- Process certain manual inventory transfer transactions in the inventory system
- Prepare finance reports and spreadsheets.
- Other tasks as assigned.
DESIRED SKILLS & BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance is required.
- Strong Microsoft Office / Excel skills and experience with an ERP system required (Oracle, SAP, Multiview).
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional Attributes / Work Ethic : strong communication skills (Oral and Written), detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, innovative, self-motivated, decisive, accountable, and committed to excellence and high standards.
