Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role will be supporting our Advanced Manufacturing Technology Organization. This position will be located on site in Palmdale, CA.

Please Note : This position is on-site in Palmdale, CA and cannot be performed remotely due to the nature of the role . This position will require 10% domestic travel and the qualified applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Program Special Access over multiple platforms.

As a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology organization, you will define, develop, implement, and transition new technology solutions to manufacturing to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality. Provide and develop manufacturing concepts and process solutions for production applications in advanced technologies specializing in coatings & specialty processes.

Job responsibilities

• Identify customer needs, define requirements, technical planning and documentation (generate statements of work, requirements documents and test plans)
• Identify and develop innovative solutions leveraging technology to meet customer needs
• Manage project cost (spending, charging, implementation, savings and return on investment) and schedule (develop project deliverables and detail plans including but limited to IMS project schedules, status and visibility, roadmaps, spend plans)
• Manufacturing system development / integration, verification and validation, and implementation, identify and mitigate program risk and capture opportunity impacts
• Follow projects through all manufacturing readiness level phases : concept development, design, fabrication / assembly / test at lab level, production environment demo, full production operations implementation (TTP Transition to Production), sustainment / maintenance / continuous improvement.

Salary Range : $87,200 - $130,800
