Senior Director, Business Operations
Capital One Travel is seeking an experienced leader with a blend of operations and product experience to join the team as our head of business operations. You should be passionate about both innovation, continuous improvement and quality, as you'll be responsible for creating the end-to-end processes that drive our business every day. This is a unique opportunity, as in this role you will lead a team responsible for end-to-end business processes everything from tax and accounting teams working closely with our finance organization to well managed risk and compliance, to partnering with our Legal and Enterprise Supplier Management teams. Broadly, this leader will be responsible for everything required to keep Capital One Travel well managed as we continue to rapidly scale. You will strategically build and manage the foundation that allows our team to innovate with confidence. You will define and improve processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the business's bottom line. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, collaborative partnership, and strong stakeholder management are essential to succeeding in this role. Key responsibilities include :
Support Capital One Travel's well-managed agenda by aiding in risk assessments, problem solving to remediate issues, create efficiencies, and reduce risk
Providing subject matter expertise on processes and the Travel business when representing the team across the enterprise
Collaborate with Capital One Travel team to advise on risk, process, and data management requirements and process for new intent, initiatives, and enterprise requests
Create, run, and improve a control suite to ensure our risks are mitigated, regulatory and corporate policies and met, and intent matches execution
Oversee the remediation of any issues & complaints associated within the business
Manage vendor performance and relationships with the 3rd parties required to deliver our product
Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis and Controller to build reporting and dashboards for business management
Establish a strong and inclusive culture within a rapidly expanding organization
Basic qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering)
At least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis
At least 2 years of experience in qualitative analysis
At least 2 years of experience in people management
At least 2 years of experience in project management
Preferred qualifications :
Masters Degree or MBA
8+ years of experience in operations within the financial services or travel industry
4+ years of experience leading teams
4+ years of experience running programs that span multiple teams and accountability structures
