Overview
The Automated Dispensing Technician maintains inventory and performs restocks to ensure clients have an adequate supply of medication. The technician visits clients, troubleshoots problems with the automated technology, and acts as the point of contact for the automated dispensing system.
Schedule
10am - 6 : 30pm; Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays
Responsibilities
- Maintain automated dispensing system inventory and restock daily.
- Visit customers to troubleshoot problems and perform medication audits as necessary.
- Handle all automation related issues.
- Prepare the finished prescription product, proper labeling including cautionary and auxiliary labels, and perform other light warehouse duties.
- Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Package materials and products manually.
- Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle / dispose per procedure.
- Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications, label, and stock during low volume times.
- Assist in shipping and preparing orders for delivery.
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
- Other duties as assigned; job duties may vary depending on business needs.
- Knowledge of data entry and / or IV experience is a plus.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Experience in pharmacy automation (TCGRX and Dosis) preferred.Must be willing to travel.Licensed / Registered pharmacy technician required by Florida state law.High School diploma or equivalent.Previous pharmacy experience required (one-year experience in long-term care preferred).Good organizational skills and detail-oriented.Basic math and analytical skills.Computer knowledge is a must.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Ability to physically perform light lifting.Must be able to work various shifts and days.Physical Demands
May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently.May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.May lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.Holiday & PTO Policy
