Job Summary
Estrella Mountain Community College is hiring Chemistry adjunct faculty to teach day and evening in-person chemistry classes at our Avondale campus.
Essential Functions
Instructs a diverse population of students in both lecture and lab settings. Uses active learning, student-centered teaching strategies to engage students and promote student success.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master's Degree or higher in one of the following fields: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Geochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry Education specifically , Polymer Science, Chemical Physics, Forensic Chemistry
OR
A Master’s Degree in any field with 18 graduate-level credits in these prefixes/subjects: CHM, CHEM, BCH, BIOC, CHE
OR
A Master’s Degree in any field with 18 graduate-level credits in courses with these keywords: Chemistry, Chemical Research, Chemistry Seminar, Thesis Writing, Chemistry Education, Thermodynamics, Physical Chemistry, Quantum Mechanics, Statistical Mechanics, Molecular Biology, Molecular Physics, Nuclear
Special Working Conditions
- Exposure to laboratory chemicals.
- May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without a reasonable accommodation.
