INFORMATICS/EHR NURSE EDUCATOR (Full Time/M-F/Not Remote)

• Create and present blended learning curriculum solutions and teaching materials related to the use of the EHR in the acute and ambulatory settings.
• Convey both technical and non-technical information to diverse audiences to ensure that the training matches the Caregiver’s job functions (ready to work on Day 1).
• Regular, weekly rounding on units to provide just-in-time coaching, answer questions, and garner feedback from clinical caregivers.

This includes some travel between all of Centra’s facilities.

• Responsibility for communicating EHR changes to caregivers.
• Coordinate with Clinical Professional Development (CPD) to ensure educational needs are met (., educators are aware of policy changes that affect documentation and can appropriately educate to Centra’s best practices in classroom education)
• Coordinate with Clinical Informatics and Clinical Applications teams to understand upgrades and other changes in the system or workflows that will affect the frontline caregiver
• May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.

Required Education : Bachelor’s degree in nursing or willingness to obtain within three years of hire

Required Experience :

• At least three years of clinical experience as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
• Able to apply knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Able to promote change in a positive manner that supports all employees.
• Able to organize multiple work streams, prioritize work efforts, and remain focused.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with learners at all levels.
• Minimum of three years of experience with Oracle / Cerner EHR
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams

Preferred Experience : Minimum of three years of experience as an educator, trainer, superuser, or with giving presentations to large and small groups

Preferred Licensures & Certifications : Certification in nursing education and / or informatics
