Job Summary

The Porters are responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that factory and offices are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner in compliance with regulations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). To perform routine cleaning, replaces light bulbs, dusts and sanitizes furniture, empties trash receptacles sweep, mop and vacuums floors, service, clean, and supply restroom, cafeteria. Other tasks include setting up rooms for meetings, classes or events. Essential Functions :

• Understand and comply with all company safety policies and procedures and utilize all necessary safety equipment.
• Recommend, as appropriate, changes that could improve the quality of the workflow.
• Clean and care for factory and offices in order to ensure they are maintained in a safe and healthy manner.
• Report malfunction of bathroom fixtures, light fixtures, and / or damages to room or hall furnishings to supervisor.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Maintain storage areas, cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of staff.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Be prepared to work overtime as needed.
• Perform all other activities as requested by management.
