Safety Engineer

Overview : seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Engineer to join our client's team. This role involves the development, implementation, and enforcement of comprehensive safety programs to ensure a secure working environment. The ideal candidate will be adept in interpreting safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety-first among employees.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to regulatory compliance.
• Interpret and apply federal, state, and local safety regulations to ensure full compliance.
• Provide expert advice and audits to line management for effective implementation of EHS initiatives.
• Conduct training sessions including employee orientation and emergency response protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
• Advise on equipment design and ergonomics to enhance workplace safety.
• Manage and evaluate the Safety Management System, tracking progress and outcomes.
• Maintain documentation related to permits, safety equipment, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure contractor compliance with safety policies when working on-site.
• Prepare and present reports on the status of health and safety programs to management.
• Lead investigations into accidents and injuries, compiling reports for regulatory bodies.
• Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Lead emergency response initiatives, aligning with company policies and procedures.
• Promote a culture of safety and develop internal safety advocates.
• Perform other related duties as required.
