Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,530–$1,640 Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Emergency Room (ER RN) Unit : Emergency Department (ER) Duration : 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025) Shift : 12 Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 medical, up to 7 : 1 for ED behavioral holds Unit Size : 101 beds Scheduling : Every other weekend required; flexible scheduling to meet department needs ER RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting Experience in a Level II trauma center and high-volume ED (100,000 annual visits) preferred Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (must be current before start date) ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Strong teamwork skills and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Commitment to positive patient experience and respectful behavior (AIDET) Navy scrubs required Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations Monitor and manage patients using Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitors Document patient care in Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system Collaborate with techs, unit clerks, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed Maintain updated patient boards and ensure clear communication throughout patient visits Uphold department policies, guidelines, and attendance standards Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive healthcare team environment Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Asheville, NC, and make a difference in one of America's leading healthcare destinations.
