Job Description
Support major retail Operations team to reduce and eliminate trailer storage and pallet storage charges across the retail network.Collaborate with 3PL site management and CHEP Plant Operations to improve operational processes. Closely liaise with 3rd party plant management to support the CHEP supply chain strategy.
Major / Key Accountabilities
Support the retail operations team by leading the monitoring, measuring, and proactive identification of opportunities to improve key performance metrics.
Utilization of various software to create and maintain records of performance metrics (Microsoft Office programs including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Power BI, or comparable programs)
Monitor internal / external pallet movement reports to identify shortfalls and opportunities
Communicate and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to address opportunities
Daily communication with 3PLs and CHEP internal teams on trailer and pallet movement
Daily
Provide regular updates to the Walmart team with identified improvements and site-level opportunities
Provide weekly updates to internal teams to include improvement actions and continued opportunities
Ensures customer-centric focus through coordination of efforts to implement dwell mitigation actions
Coordinate the analysis, execution, and response to various project work within the region in support of retail operational initiatives
Identify and deliver YOY supply chain cost savings in support of CHEP’s Cost Leadership strategy
Ensure management group compliance to all contractual commitments regarding health, safety & environmental standards. Actively engage plant-level 3rd party leadership in proactively developing safety management programs in support of Brambles Zero Harm vision
Manage and enforce quality standards at all sites to ensure local customers have an exceptional quality / service experience
Liaise with Commercial & Quality team colleagues to address quality and service related issues with local retail and manufacturing customers
Maintain close collaboration with CHEP functional partners, including Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Sales

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business Management or similar is required.
1+ year’s work in a supply chain and / or business environment
College coursework in supply chain and / or business is desirable
Experience
2-3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution experience with some supervisory responsibilities
Ability to communicate effectively with conflicting cross functional teams to achieve a common goal
Previous work experience, preferably in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated ability to drive standard work in an operating environment
Strong systems and data analysis experience
Skills and Knowledge
Microsoft office programs including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, Power BI, or comparable programs
Knowledge of SQL beneficial but not required
Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge of, CHEP specific computer software
Self-starter : Ability to work independently in a remote location
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal, written communication skills and maintain professional relationships with all levels of an organization, both internal and external.
