Weber Human Services (WHS), located in Ogden, Utah serves a growing urban population residing in Weber and Morgan Counties .
We are an organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan county governments to serve as the local authority for the provision of their substance use, mental health and senior service programs.
Weber Human Services is the only organization in the State of Utah providing these services under a single administration. Through dozens of human services programs, WHS helps thousands of its neighbors by supporting and empowering our most vulnerable groups including at-risk youth, the elderly, children, youth and adults suffering from mental illnesses, and those recovering from addictions.

A typical day as a WHS Residential Human Service Tech is about providing a safe and caring environment where people can thrive while engaging in treatment. We are looking for applicants who will demonstrate boundaries, while interacting in warm, welcoming, and interested manner with clients at all times. You need to have some writing skills to document incidents and attention to detail to dispense medication to clients. You will support the clinical program by providing activities and educational groups. You will help coach clients on hygiene, room cleanliness, and encourage clients to attend and participate in daily treatment including groups.
WHS Residential Human Service Tech works with a broad range of clients in both SUD recovery facilities
Some transportation will be necessary; therefore, you will need a valid Utah driver license. You will also need CPR / First Aid and a Food Handler's Permit, which we will pay for once you begin employment. Most, but not all of these positions require approved background screenings through DACS.
WHS Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
WHS is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. WHS will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at WHS conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain Work-Med location within 48 hours of being requested to do so by the WHSH Human Resources Department.
Weber Human Services works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
Further, all employees at WHS must successfully pass a criminal background check as part of WHS's licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and / or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process. Pending and / or open charges will likely impact a candidate's ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Mental and Behavioral Health experience, patient care setting (we do provide training so don't let this deter you from applying)
Must be willing to complete and criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
