Job Title : Histotechnologist II

Location : Pensacola, FL 32504

Duration : 3 Months (Possible to convert)

Shift : 3rd shift 3am-11 : 30am, M-F

Duties / Responsibilities of the Job :

Summary :

• The histotechnician will perform all routine and special paraffin histotechnology duties in our state of the art, CAP-certified pathology laboratory.
• Under the guidance of a Senior or Lead Histotechnologist, you will provide high quality diagnostic material within established turn-around-times.

Position Responsibilities :

Education qualification :

Associate degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related life science Formal training in Histology from an accredited program (720 hours) State Licensure, where applicable (CA, FL, NY require licensing) Meets CLIA personnel standard criteria.

Skill :

Skills in microtomy, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting and routine special staining techniques.

Embed / 80 hr and cut 40 / hr by slide

This is an onsite role. Candidates will be expected to be onsite every day.
