EHS Manager
The EHS Manager is responsible for the development and facilitation of the full environment, health and safety programs inclusive of security for the distribution center. This position will create a strong safety culture through the implementation of best practices and demonstrated in-depth knowledge, understanding and application of environment, health and safety and workers' compensation laws and regulations and translates them into actionable processes. This role will dotted-line report to the Sr. Site Director with the expectation of helping site leader execute their strategic vision for the facility and will be a key partner with the operations leadership team to ensure effectiveness of all safety programs down to all non-exempt employees within the facility.
Minimum / Preferred Requirements :
- Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, environmental engineering, environmental science, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years experience managing health and safety compliance.
- Minimum five (5) years experience within Distribution, Supply Chain / Logistics or Manufacturing experience.
- Minimum two (2) years experience of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
- Familiarity with pertinent regulations including OSHA, EPA, DOT, as well as state, and local HS regulations.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent designations are preferred.
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort in interacting with site leaders.
