Senior Piping & Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed the company's safety standards.
• Comply with all company procedures, engineering practices and other standards.
• Read and fully understand P&ID's and other documents which describe the scope of work to be done.
• Read and understand the plant's engineering specifications, standards, guidelines, and other technical documents related to the discipline.
• Familiarity with industry codes such as ASME, API, and others related to piping and mechanical design in industrial environments.
• Interface with engineers, operators, maintenance, environmental, and other personnel at the plant site to understand the design considerations for the site.
• Guide more junior piping and mechanical designers in their design work.
• Provide piping & mechanical design for capital and service projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Guide site employees through reviews of piping and mechanical designs to obtain input prior to issuance for construction.
• Issue construction complete construction packages.
• Field as-builts, measurements, and design as project requires.
• Assist with material take-offs and construction estimating.
