The Forklift & Palate Restaurant Cook (PT) at Spooky Nook Sports will help to oversee preparation of high-quality food items in the upscale small plate’s kitchen. Line Cooks will focus on creating incredible experiences for guests in the complex through the preparation of food in accordance with company standards while maintaining profitability goals.

Follow standard recipes as provided by the Executive Chef and Lead Culinary leadershipContribute to the production of food items and lead production in an orderly and timely fashionMaintain highest quality and appearance of all foods sent from kitchenMonitor par levels according to production sheet to maintain food freshness and qualityRotate all foods and complete corresponding production chartAvoid unnecessary food waste by ensuring proper portion controlComplete proper storage of leftovers and prepped goods using dating, labeling and cooling proceduresManage all kitchen work areas for daily cleanliness including refrigerators and counter space and floorsRequisition food supplies from storerooms into proper storage with FIFO standard and in compliance with health regulationsAll other duties as assigned in or out of your direct departmentRequirements : Basic Qualifications
Must have a culinary degree or vocational background in culinary and at least 2 years of experience working in a cook positionMust be 18 years of age or olderDependable transportation to and from workLanguage skills : Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communicationAbility to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessaryAvailability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and / or holidays as neededAuthorized to work in the United StatesPreferred Qualifications

Work environment : Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds. The team member will primarily work in a kitchen environment with fluctuating temperatures that can become hot, humid and / or wet.Physical requirements : While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.Lifting requirements : The team member will occasionally be required to lift, push, pull, lower and / or move up to 10 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.Noise Level : The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.
