About this role

NMHS contains Western Australia’s largest Mental Health Service caring for youths, adults and older adults. Services are delivered through inpatient units, community mental health clinics and day therapy and outreach programs to a catchment area of almost 1 million people.

State-wide and Tertiary Mental Health Services include research, forensics, neurosciences, art therapy, eating disorders and other specialised services.

The Consultant Psychiatrist is responsible for the psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment of Children and Adolescents under their direct care.

In this role, you will provide clinical leadership, coordination and direction to a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering evidence based best practice treatment and evaluate the provision of patient centred-care coordination, within recovery orientated model.

You will work across the areas of the Links Court, Child and Adolescent Forensics Service, and Banksia Hill Detention Centre.

This role reports to the Head of Service Consultant Psychiatrist.
