Positive Leaps is hiring a part-time Office Assistant to support our West Chester, OH office.
Hours : Monday through Friday, 12pm to 5pm, with some adjustments as needed to support the agency.
Pay rate : $18-$19 / hour.
Location : West Chester, OH
Primary Responsibilities :
- Communicates in a professional and positive manner, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and commitment.
- Accepts incoming telephone calls, and returns delegated telephone calls, routes incoming and outgoing faxes, manages mailings, completes forms, may manage schedules and calendars of assigned Department Team Members, and performs other delegated clerical tasks, according to Positive Leaps standards.
- Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, with consumers, peers, supervisors, visitors and stakeholders.
- Prepares, updates and / or maintains files, and disassembles documents and records, such as medical records, therapy files, and documents essential to effective business operations, manual and electronic, according to Positive Leaps standard.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of client information, confidentiality of financial information of the business, and operations of the business as a whole.
- Adheres to ethical and legal standards in the conduct of personal and professional activities at all times, in accordance with Positive Leaps ethical code.
- Obtains needed documents, or signatures, etc., to documents according to department timelines.
- Inventories office and other supplies regularly, to assure supplies are on hand.
- Maintains own workspace and general office space, so that it is neat, clean and organized, and that work items are available.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications :
Associates degree in business, finance, management, or related field preferred.2- 3+ years relevant experience required.Experience with front office / administrative work preferred.Experience working with child and family populations preferredBasic understanding of financial transactions.Working knowledge of computers, and general office software packages. Is competent in spreadsheet and database development (Microsoft Office : Word, Outlook, Excel).Working knowledge of general office equipment (copier, fax, scan, laminate, etc.).Ability to work with high efficiency in an active, and at times stressful environment.Medical industry or healthcare related B2B & B2C experience preferred.Extraordinary attention to detail, organization and file management skills.Superior command of written and spoken English; the ability to write original content.Ability to assure quality of work products in assigned area through problem solving, and reporting to Supervisor.Physical Requirement :
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to lift 50 lbs.This work occurs in a mental health facility for children with severe behavior problems. Incumbent may be exposed to inappropriate language, loud noise, and violence.Able to work irregular hours, including working more than 40 hours a week, in order to complete assigned responsibilities.Exposure and Risk :
