Description

LIBERTY Dental Plan is seeking a Vice President Claims to oversee our national claims operations. This leader will be empowered to bring strategy and automation to the Claims department and internal processes in support of LIBERTY's overall mission to continually improve our member and provider experience.

Strong understanding of dental and / or healthcare claims and claims regulatory requirements is a must. Position is open to Hybrid , with the ability to report part-time to our corporate headquarters located in Irvine, CA .

POSITION SUMMARY :

  • Responsible for the development and execution of Claim Operations strategies, E2E Claim process automation, optimization and management, identifying and leveraging technology and data to improve the quality and minimize process cost of Claims for all LIBERTY plans.
  • Ensure that quality and compliance standards are being met and the best possible service is being provided to our customers.
  • Closely align with Benefit Implementation and Utilization Management leadership to identify new strategic initiatives to include verifying value-adds and risks.
  • Ability to successfully manage change and growth as well as juggle multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Develop cost containment strategies to support the fiscal needs of the company.
  • Confer with leadership to discuss goals and objectives, to review progress, and to determine the needs to support corporate strategy.
  • Prepare operation, productivity, and forecasting reports for management analysis.
  • Ensure we appropriately respond to correspondence regarding complaints, audits and inquiries that require management attention.
  • Keep current on state and federal regulatory issues and industry activity and trends.
  • Assist with various projects and initiatives.
  • Complete all necessary tasks associated with managing direct reports in a timely fashion (e.g. time cards, performance reviews, holding timely one-on-one meetings, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED :

  • Minimum 4-Year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience directing / managing a Healthcare or Dental Plan Claims Department.
  • Minimum 14 years' experience in a healthcare or dental plan claims or operations role.
  • Prior Claims experience in a dental environment highly preferred.
  • Prior experience with claims regulatory and compliance requirements (DMHC, CMS, DOI, ERISA, NCCI, HIPAA regulations)
  • Excellent understanding of dental / health insurance operations and procedures.
  • Ability to be strategic, set vision and influence others to see it through.
  • Broad knowledge of technology
  • Strong leadership ability
  • Analytical skills with emphasis on generation and utilization of data to drive operational and financial performance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and heavy workload

  • COMPENSATION

    In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $200,000 - $283,634, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and / or experience. In addition to those factors we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
