Responsibilities
Grow and lead an engineering team of 6-10 engineers working on the service.
Lead projects that span multiple domains within networking and partner with teams outside of networking such as security, compliance, etc.
Own the end-to-end service design, project planning, delivery.
Cultivate best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
Drive operational excellence for the service.
Collaborate with other leaders on developing and delivering product roadmaps, operational improvements, and critical cross-functional customer commitments.
Participate in critical projects and project status communication at the senior leadership level.
Participate in a manager on-call rotation for the team.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience growing and leading successful teams.
3+ years of experience leading and successfully delivering large and complex technical projects from concept to production.
Sound understanding and demonstrable experience building and operating large-scale global distributed systems.
Sound understanding of cloud architecture patterns, networking fundamentals, observability, and operations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrable project management experience in delivering large cross-functional projects.
