Essential Functions

In this role, you will provide off-hour leadership and serve as a resource for staff members while ensuring the overall quality of patient care in our facility. Your responsibilities will include :

• Supervising and mentoring nursing and support staff during your shift.
• Determining staffing levels and assignments based on availability, abilities, census, and patient acuity.
• Providing direct patient care as needed.
• Assisting staff with problem-solving and floating between teams.
• Taking patient assignments to meet staffing needs.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of patient care and identifying issues affecting outcomes.
• Responding to complaints about patient care and managing them through established channels.
• Performing role-specific duties such as entering orders and coordinating transfers.
• Ensuring staff has the necessary equipment and supplies for safe, quality care.
• Integrating evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Creating an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Initiating weekend case management and assisting with discharge planning.

We’re looking for candidates who have a current state RN license and either a bachelor’s or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include :
