Role Summary
The Third-Party Resilience Consultant is a supporting role within MetLife's Global Resilience Team, reporting to the Head of Third-Party Resilience Management. This position focuses on executing the global framework for assessing third-party resilience risk, which evaluates the robustness of vendors supporting critical business processes and services. The role partners with vendor management teams, third party risk management teams, and operational risk management to manage the life cycle by providing guidance, reviewing vendor documentation, and ensuring consistency in resilience assessments. Working closely with the MetLife Global Capability Center in India, the consultant helps manage review cycles, streamline processes, and support innovation in tools and methodologies that strengthen third party resilience across the enterprise.
How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
Required Skills
2+ years of business continuity, operational resilience, third-party risk, or related experience.
5+ years of global project management experience.
Ability to review and compare controls (can include but not limited to third-party controls) and resilience documentation against internal standards.
Strong analysis and communication skills.
Global mindset with the ability to develop and maintain sound relationships with on- and off- shore teams, line of business partners, and third parties.
Experience with Microsoft suite products.
General understanding of technology architecture and design.
Preferred Skills
Experience at a global, regulated industry (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
Detail orientated and disciplined to solve problems with the ability to resolve issues.
A self-starter, highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Previous experience with Business Continuity Planning (Fusion) and / or TPRM (Aravo) tools strongly desired.
Master’s degree in business continuity, risk management, or a related discipline is preferred.
