What You Will Do :

Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise / Microsoft Windows and environment.

Lead and coordinate the Red Hat Installation and configuration.

Design, develop and deploy RedHat Podman containers.

Participate in all phases of Engineering software installation and support, with emphasis on testing, documentation, and acceptance phases.

Experience in Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.

Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

Responsible for provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Linux / Windows infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support

Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.

Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours

Qualifications You Must Have :

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies : RedHat Enterprise Linux, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, BackupExec, NetBackup, prior systems administration experience, Windows or Linux administration, Backup and Recovery enterprise suites.

Preferred Qualifications :

Active DoD TS clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.

Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and / or DoD / RMF

Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development

Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and / or Exchange

High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment

Experience with Server architectures and troubleshooting methods and ability to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems

Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Linux Desktops, Windows desktops (Windows 10 / 11), Splunk and ESX and / or other virtual computing methods

Scripting / automation PowerShell, Bash

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
