This position willbe located inSan Antonio, TX and will be an onsite only position.
Responsibilities
Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and / or solutions;
stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods.
Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements.
Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall network and system development.
Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
- Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers.
- Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
- Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
- Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices.
- Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
- Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
- Reviews test plans / procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
- Understand and assess Unified Communication business processes, tools and operating model. Understand the UC customer requirements, challenges and business objectives, and translate them into solution designs.
Implement, configure and optimize the BluSCI UC solutions, automate business workflows on the platform. Perform acceptance testing, transition and knowledge transfer to customers and stakeholders.
Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning. Reviews test plans / procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
Submit formal security patch implementation requests IAW CCMP. Have an understanding and knowledge of UC best practices and business process analysis and design.
- Possess soft skills to lead, communicate, negotiation, focus on details, prioritization, decision-making, presentation and a strong analytical and problem-solving skill
- Provide over-the-shoulder mentoring for Unified Communication to USG personnel
- Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for UC platform
- Maintain and optimize global Multi-cluster UC deployment and dial-plan
- Test and deploy new software, updates and security patches IAW customers change management process
- Maintain on-site Lab environment to test and develop changes prior to implementation the UC production environment
- Provide input and support to Enterprise architects and Program Management Office (PMO) for future UC projects

Qualifications
High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years working with unified communication solutions
- Extensive experience with the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco IP Phones, Cisco WEBEX Desk / Room and voice enabled Jabber clients
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification
- Current CCNP Collaboration
