Overview

Metropolis seeks a People Operations Coordinator to manage employee data, support onboarding and orientation, respond to HR inquiries, and assist with reporting.

Who you are

You are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to support a fast-growing People Operations team in a corporate setting.

What you'll do

  • Manage and respond to inquiries from employees and managers across multiple HR and payroll inboxes
  • Accurately enter and maintain employee information in HRIS systems, including AS400 and Dayforce, for transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations
  • Facilitate the new hire process from ICIMS to the AS400, ensuring timely and accurate onboarding data
  • Review and verify employee change documents to ensure completeness and proper authorization
  • Sort incoming mail and process payroll-related documents, including garnishments and requests, for upload to ADP
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives across various People Operations functions
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly HR and payroll reports
  • Take ownership of special projects as assigned, gaining exposure to various People Operations initiatives
  • Assist in the organization and setup of New Metropolite Orientation (NMO), including coordinating IT setup

What we're looking for

  • 1+ years of professional experience within a corporate setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with Google Workspace
  • Basic understanding of HR / People data management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn HRIS systems (AS400, Dayforce, ICIMS) and reporting tools
  • When you join Metropolis, you'll be part of a team building an ecosystem at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate, with a focus on an inclusive culture where the best ideas win. The anticipated base pay is $24.00–$29.00 USD hourly. Base pay is determined by factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. Total compensation may include benefits and stock options.

    Metropolis values in-person collaboration to drive innovation and foster culture. Office attendance is expected per our policy.

    Metropolis may use an automated employment decision tool (AEDT) to assess candidacy. Data collected during the process may be retained whether or not you are hired, and, if hired, may become part of your employee records.
