Profile Summary

This position supports the Business Unit (BU) through strategic planning and execution, aligning with the Strategic Solutions area. It is responsible for deploying frameworks that drive business goals, overseeing BU-level strategy execution, and managing multi-year planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate strategic planning, deployment, and execution using repeatable frameworks.
  • Support prioritization processes to ensure projects deliver maximum business value.
  • Oversee BU-level project portfolio planning and execution; track benefit realization and delivery outcomes.
  • Assess capacity and capability planning across the BU for 1–3-year strategy roadmaps.
  • Develop key measurements and reporting tools to monitor strategy execution.
  • Prepare project proposals, conduct ROI analysis, and lead prioritization processes.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of initiatives across value streams.
  • Drive continuous improvement of business methods and processes.
  • Act as SME for internal and external sales teams on specialty sales initiatives, pricing, and product rollouts.
  • Consult on go-to-market strategies and participate in finals and external presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for AI enhancements and evaluate new sales and technology offerings.
  • Provide cost-benefit analyses and recommendations for new offerings.
  • Develop and maintain specialty sales positioning curriculum for the Emerging Market Sales Desk.
  • Deliver training to newly hired Internal & National Internal Wholesalers; support Sales Directors as needed.
  • Design and implement business and territory planning frameworks to improve alignment and accountability.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to share market, product, and pricing updates.
  • Schedule and lead monthly training sessions.
  • Identify marketing content gaps and collaborate on collateral development, including DSR templates.
  • Maintain and update the Sales Desk Teams database and investment mapping templates.
  • Complete business checkout functions for monthly releases.
  • Collaborate with MES / HNE / ESOP specialists to create content and deliver webinars and CE sessions.
  • Represent Emerging Markets in strategic projects and product launches.
  • Partner with Business Development to maintain firm-specific product and service workflows.
  • Evaluate sales processes and techniques to strengthen distribution partner relationships and win new business.
  • Collaborate with New Business teams to resolve technical and procedural issues affecting sales and customer / advisor experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8–10 years of experience in insurance or financial services.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing and deploying business / corporate-level strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of strategic imperatives.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Experience in process improvement, portfolio management, and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in financial theory and financial modeling.
  • Advanced software skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • FINRA registration may be obtained while employed in the role.
  • Overall compensation with annual bonus will be around 180K-200K

    Compensation Pay Disclosure :

    Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

    The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and / or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

    Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

    $126,180 - $157,720 USD
