Molecular Diagnostics Strategic Marketing Manager

Job Summary : Responsible for the new product development process, from concept to full commercial launch of molecular diagnostic products. This role will take the lead assessing the market, collaborating with project teams to move products through the pipeline, outlining product requirements, building and executing go-to-market and launch plans, and partnering with commercial marketing and sales training to ensure the sales force is equipped with tools to sell new products. Work cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, QA / RA, Project Management, Product Management, Finance, and Sales to drive Meridian strategy. Direct knowledge of and experience in the molecular diagnostic market is required.

Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related business field OR degree in related scientific discipline with appropriate experience. MBA preferred. At least five years of experience in marketing in clinical laboratory diagnostics. Experience in the IVD industry and / or clinical (non-NGS) molecular / microbiology diagnostic labs. Must have experience in product development, successful product launches, and / or new product launches.
Travel : Must be able to travel by car / air to other Meridian Bioscience locations up to 10% of the time.
Physical : Must be able to concentrate, analyze and solve complex issues throughout the course of the work shift. Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the workday in a multi-location facility. Must be able to lift to 20 pounds of supplies or finished product throughout the work shift. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (latex or nitrile gloves, face shields / safety glasses, etc.).
