Licensure Requirements : Must have open, active, and in good standing FL State Pharmacy Technician License
Education : H.S. Diploma
Years of Experience : 1 year
Setting : Long Term Care, Retail
Schedule : 9 : 00 a.m. 6 : 00 p.m. & 2 : 00 p.m. 11 : 00 p.m.
Length of Assignment : Temporary
Pay : $18.00
Background / Drug Requirements : Must be willing to submit to a background check, health and drug screen
Pharmacy Technician
Job Responsibilities :
Assist the Pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
Type prescription information and label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
Take inventory, place orders, check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items.
Notify purchasing staff or appropriate personnel of medication and / or supply needs through reorder logs. Monitor back-order requests.
Fill bulk products and blister packs, and stage for delivery.
Input patient data and medication orders into the computer system.
Prepare medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments.
Package medications for dispensing and delivery.
Sanitize IV room, equipment and hood.
Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
Remove and sort by work function the delivery bags, totes and equipment from return area inside pharmacy. Ensure proper dispensation of returned medication items.
Replace emergency boxes as requested.
Maintain neat, clean and organized workplace at all times to avoid contamination.
Support location and departmental goals, and overall company objectives.
Comply with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
