Safe Schools Deputy / School Resource Officer
This position is responsible for proactive policing and school-based law enforcement duties within a designated school district. Responsibilities include maintaining safety and security in and around schools and performing other related tasks as needed.

Applicants should be aware that School Resource Officer (SRO) positions are funded through contracts with local school districts. These positions, along with related benefits and advantages may end if contracts are not renewed. SRO personnel serve at the discretion of both the Sheriff and the school district, which may request a replacement at any time, with or without cause. Efforts will be made to offer preferential transfer opportunities to current employees, but no guarantee is made for a return to prior positions.
