Position Overview :
Provide a 1-3 sentence summary of the role that will capture the attention of potential candidates. The Sr. Network Reliability Engineer will work within a dedicated team of automation and reliability engineers tasked with improving the availability, reliability, and scalability of Wendy’s global network infrastructure.
The Sr. Network Reliability Engineer will implement and support operational toolsets, develop network configuration improvements, and provide critical capacity planning to ensure network redundancy, load, latency, and monitoring are managed across all Wendy’s network ecosystems (backbone, cloud, Internet, campus). Key Responsibilities :
Describe main responsibilities (typically 4-6) including how responsibilities are performed and results expected. Note responsibilities that occur across departments and geographies.
Include descriptive action verbs ( forecast, calculate, measure, operate). 1. Provides Tier 3 support and troubleshooting for all network services.
5% 2. Participate in oncall rotation to support off hours from 5P-7A ET and weekend. 5% 3. Provides tertiary resolution of tickets in ITSM ticket queue(s) within defined SLA’s and acts as level of ticket escalation for Level I & Level II engineers.
10% 4. Engages in sprint work via Jira Kanban board and completes work within sprint parameters. This is project / enhancement / automation / optimization, etc.
type of work. 35% 5. Engage OEM TAC / TAM’s when needed to resolve issues or work through sprint work challenges. 5% 6. Perform onsite work directly or with support of smarthands when necessary.
10% 7. Periodically reviews architecture, data flows, and general design for optimization, correctness, standards updates, etc.
20% 8. Evaluate tech stack, research relevant industry trends, and make recommendations to optimize tech stack. 10% Decision Making Authority :

Skills Specific physical and / or mental proficiencies
Experience Type and amount of related work experience 1. Education : Masters Degree AND / OR Relevant Experience AND
Relevant industry certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, GCP, CompTIA) 2. Experience developing complex automated solutions for event notifications, escalation, and resolution of network events 3.
7 years focused on firewalls, wireless networking, routing, and switching 4. 7 years implementing commercial and open-source network monitoring and operational tools 5.
7 years of experience in network engineering or network-centric software development 6. Strong analytical skills with good verbal and written communication abilities.
7. 7 yrs of experience with high-availability network designs and associated protocols; Dual-ISP, first-hop redundancy, geo-diverse failover, cloud regionality / availability zones 8.
7 yrs of experience with network collection protocols; NetFlow, Syslog, Model Driven Telemetry 9. 7 yrs of network protocol experience and understanding of fundamental configuration techniques with some of the following : SIP, SSIP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VLAN, VRF 10.
7 yrs of experience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git to deploy networks at scale.
