Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems at USAF sites in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This position requires a high level of expertise, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Survey and Inspection : Inspect electrical components, such as power panels, conduit pathways, circuit breakers and grounding systems. Identify electrical systems using a variety of testing devices.
• Safety and Compliance : Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code. Work with blueprints and diagrams of circuits and wiring to complete inspections.
• Testing and Inspections : Conduct resistance testing and documentation of existing ground systems. Conduct power panel load testing. Analyze and interpret test data to diagnose malfunctions. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Customer Service : Communicate effectively with clients and team. Provide detailed and accurate reports on inspections performed. Offer guidance on the proper usage of electrical systems and appliances to clients.

Qualifications :

Education and Certification : High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training program. Valid Journeyman Electrician License.

Experience : Minimum of 4 years of experience as an electrician. Proven experience working with electrical systems in residential, commercial, and / or industrial settings.
