JOB SUMMARY

The School Paraprofessional / Assistant provides assistance to teachers, and other school personnel, in the delivery of quality education and support services for students, in an array of classroom settings. Duties will vary according to the needs of the student(s) from physical assistance and care, to behavior management and academic assistance. The School Paraprofessional / Assistant works under the supervision of the teacher and / or school principal.

LICENSURE

None required.

EXPERIENCE

At least six months of experience as a school Certified Behavior Technician  in the school setting within the last 2 years.

CREDENTIALS :

CPR as required by school; health and screening tests as required by school facilities and / or regulatory agencies.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Various school facility settings; possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
