This role will be responsible for driving gasoline or diesel power tractor trailer combinations, truck or van to : 1) transport 2) pick up and 3) deliver products, or materials in loose packages.

This position will report to the : Operations ManagerLocation : Grand Prairie, TXTravel Requirement : 80 - 100% of Travel Required / FrequencyFLSA Status : Non - exemptWhat You’ll be Responsible For in this RoleStarting pay is .

65 per mile / Miles per week are averaging between 2700-3000.With a 23 dollar per hour detention and breakdown pay and 25 dollars per stop pay.

Run lanes originating : DFW going to California (Once a week), Kansas City (Once a week), Arkansas multiple times per week, Georgia (Once a week), New Jersey (Once a month).

Home every weekend and usually several nights per week.Drives trucks to various destinations approx.Maintain physical security of cargo to prevent shifting and damage;

ensuring safety is your number one priorityMaintains truck log, per state and federal regulationsInspects truck equipment and suppliers such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and waterDrives vehicle to transport items from warehouse to plant or pick up items from several locations for shipmentPickup / DeliveryMaintains phone contact with supervisor and / or dispatch to receive pick-up and delivery instructionsPrepares receipts and collects payment for good delivered and for delivery charges when requiredLoads and unloads truckPicks up product at customers and suppliers, checks delivered product and quantities for accuracyHas inspection authority to release product prior to deliveryWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications : High School diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredMinimum of 2 years’ local city delivery experience requiredClass A license requiredAcceptable DMV reportAdditional Required Qualifications : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write short correspondenceThe ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units and measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals as well as algebraic formulasPreferred Qualifications : Forklift certified preferred but not requiredPhysical Demands & Work Environment : Lifting - Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling).
