The Leadership Development Program Specialist at the AAMC is a critical team member within the Member Learning and Engagement cluster. This position is responsible for providing project management support to the programs and operations of the AAMC's Leadership Development Portfolio and building successful relationships with our external constituents, program faculty, and internal content experts. The Leadership Development Program Specialist collaborates with the Director of Learning & Leadership Development, as well as the Leadership Development Managers and Program Leaders to ensure constituents are provided with high-quality learning experiences in all formats.
Program and Project Management Support : Supports the development, execution, and ongoing maintenance of selected programs in the Leadership Development product lines : Collaborates with the Leadership Development Team to establish the key stakeholders, target audience, project goals, instructional objectives, and overall learning format. Serves as the primary point of contact with external stakeholders and audiences involved in the preparation and execution of these learning solutions, e.g., speakers, vendors, participants, etc. Coordinating contracts, reimbursements, scheduling, assessments and other logistical needs. Partners with meeting planners and meeting coordinators to secure delivery dates and venues and to coordinate all logistics for selected offerings. Acts as faculty facilitator or moderator for Leadership Development programs. Collaborates with the Leadership Development Team and subject matter experts on learning content curation and the design and development of learning deliverables and ensures the successful completion and overall quality of the project. Administers course pre-work, self-assessments, and participant communications (for in-person and synchronous virtual learning solutions / events). Engages with program evaluators and leadership development team colleagues to establish, track, and report evaluation metrics for assigned learning solutions / events. Collaborates with and supports the Leadership Development Team as assigned / needed with specific aspects of programs in the following major product lines : CORE programs, specialized programs and foundational offerings for students and residents. For example, may provide additional on-site support for these programs or serve as back-up for a Program Leader, if needed. Contribute to and provide project management support for the Leadership Development Team for programs undergoing development or revision.
Leadership Development Portfolio Support and Operations : Manage the leadership development faculty / speaker cadre and faculty / speaker succession planning process. Serve as the team's main point of contact for the AAMC's Virtual Communities (VC). Work with the VC team and leadership development team members to strategically integrate / post leadership development content on the VC platform. Ensure the leadership development webpage on aamc.org is consistently updated and maintained with accurate and timely information. Collaborate with marketing and leadership development team members on the strategic development and evolution of the webpage. Manage the leadership development inbox and respond to constituent inquiries and / or triage requests for information about leadership development programming and initiatives. Serve as the team's main point of contact and representative on managing vendor and contracting processes. Represent the team when senior colleagues are not available.
Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience. 2-4 years of related work experience. 1-3 years of supervisory experience. Experience independently managing and executing projects. Experience working on professional development events or learning-related projects or programs is required. PMP certification is preferred.
This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US. Compensation Grade Range $69,020.00-$81,200.00. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate / annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors may include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, as well as internal equity, market, and business considerations.
